2. DOOR SHEET IS MADE OF 2″ X 6″ 2.5 MM TUBE.
3. OUR SCROLL WORK IS HAND FORGED USING 5/8″ SOLID IRON.
4. THE DOORS COME ON A PRE-HUNG STEEL FRAME. THE STEEL FRAME SUPPORTS THE WEIGHT OF THE DOORS AND ALLOWS EASY INSTALLATION. THE FRAME IS EQUIPPED WITH MOUNTING FLANGES TO SECURE THE FRAME INTO THE FRAMING WITH LAG BOLTS
5. PRIOR TO PAINTING, THE DOORS ARE SANDBLASTED, HOT ZINC COATED FOR RUST PROTECTIONS, THEN PRIMED WITH A TWO-PART EPOXY PRIMER AND FAUX PAINTED WITH HIGH-QUALITY ACRYLIC PAINT, THE CLEAR-COATED. BEFORE THE CLEAR-COAT APPLICATION has APPLIED THE DOOR IS BAKED AT 80 DEGREES FOR 30 MINUTES. THIS HARDENS THE FINISH FOR MAXIMUM PROTECTION FROM THE ELEMENTS.
6. DOORS ARE EQUIPPED WITH INTERIOR GLASS PANELS THAT OPEN INDEPENDENTLY FROM THE DOOR. THIS FEATURE ALLOWS FOR VENTILATION, CLEANING AND SECURITY BY KEEPING THE DOOR CLOSED AND LOCKED BETWEEN HOMEOWNER AND THE OUTSIDE PARTY.
7. THE GLASS COMES INSTALLED , 11/16″ INSULATED TEMPERED GLASS. ALL DOORS REQUIRE TEMPERED GLASS TO ENSURE SAFETY CODE REQUIREMENTS.
8. ALL DOORS UTILIZE A MORTISE AND TENDON TYPE BALL BEARING HINGE WITH GREASE FITTINGS.
9. ALL DOORS COME INSULATED WITH HIGH-QUALITY FOAM INSULATION THAT IS PUMPED INTO THE JAMB AND ALSO INTO THE STYLE OF THE DOOR SHEET.
10. A RUBBER WEATHER STRIPPING IS USED AROUND THE DOOR FRAME, THE GLASS FRAME. ALUMINUM OR IRON SILL IS INCLUDED.
11. CAD DRAWINGS ARE CREATED TO ENSURE THAT THE RIGHT DESIGN SIZE AND CONFIGURATION MEET ALL THE CUSTOMERS” NEEDS. FOOT BOLTS AND HEAD BOLTS ARE USED ON DOUBLE DOOR UNITS. THE FLUSH BOLT IS THE MECHANISM THAT LOCKS THE INACTIVE LEAF OF THE DOUBLE DOOR UNIT. THE HEAD BOLT LOCKS INTO THE TOP OF THE DOOR FRAME AND THE FOOT BOLT LOCKS INTO THE THRESHOLD/FLOOR.
12. DOORS CAN BE MANUFACTURED TO SWING IN OR OUT. ARCHES ARE AVAILABLE IN HALF CIRCLE, EYEBROW AND ELLIPTICAL AS WELL AS RECTANGLE. OUR STANDARD HARDWARE SPEC IS 2 1/8″ BORING, 5 ” CENTER CENTER AND 2″ BACK SET. WE CAN PROVIDE STANDARD BOLT FOR OUR DOORS, OR YOU CAN USE YOUR OWN LOCK, BUT SPECIFICATION OF THE BORES AND SLOT ARE REQUIRED FOR US TO PREPARE THE HOLES.
Yes, custom handles and basic free deadbolt come with the door. You can change it, as you like.
2) Does the door come with a screen?Most of our in-stock doors come with a screen. These heavy duty screens are removable. You can also custom order a door with the screen. The screen is built at the same time as your hand-forged door, for a perfect fit.
3) Does the door come with matching sidelights?We do manufacture matching sidelights as a special order with your door.
4) Can I re-order out-of-stock items?Yes, you can purchase the product even when it's out of stock, but only for specific items. If you don't see pre-order buttons, kindly contact us , and we can set it up for you. You can Pre-order the product and it will be shipped to you at a later date, which usually takes about 12-15 weeks. If you'd like, you can place the order by clicking the Pre-Order button. If you want changes on the door or any additions, simply specify it on the " special instructions" at checkout.
5) How much does a custom door cost?You can order a custom door at a fraction of the cost as our in-stock (standard sizes) doors.
6) What is the process of a custom order?We send you an invoice and ask a portion of 50% deposit on order. When the deposit has been made, CAD drawings are created to ensure the right design, size, and configuration, to meet your requirements. Final payment will be collected prior to shipping the order.
7) What is the lead time for a custom order?The entire production process takes an estimated 12-15 weeks to complete.
8) Are the glasses operable?All of our doors come with operable glass. It opens independently from the doors which allow for easy cleaning and ventilation.
9) Do you do installations?Our company does not offer installations. However, we can introduce you to an installation company whom we’ve worked with for a long time.
10) Is the door pre-hung?Yes, all our doors are pre-hung.
11) Do your in-stock doors have thermal break?No, they don't have. we understand the need for a door that won't leak cold air or relay the cold. This could probably be done with our fully insulated door. But if you want specifically thermally broken, we can special order you with a thermal break iron doors, which would cost you extra $350.00.
12) Can it withstand extreme weather conditions?All our doors are rigorously tested to make sure that they can withstand the toughest weather. But since there's no perfect door for extreme weather conditions, we cannot guarantee.
12) Do you have in-stock gates and railings?Unfortunately, we do not carry them in-stock as they are made for special orders only. We also do not service or ship outside Los Angeles.
13) What forms of payment do you accept?We accept Mastercard, Visa, Amex, and Paypal.
14) How long is the warranty for the door?Door Gate Depot warrants all Goods against manufacturing defects for 10 years on the iron door structure and mechanics, 5 years on the finish, excluding Glass, weather stripping, a door sweep.
15) Do you offer financing?Yes, we partnered with Affirm Financing. At checkout, choose Pay with Affirm. Affirm prompts you to enter a few pieces of information: Name, email, mobile phone number, date of birth, and the last four digits of your social security number. You’ll get the decision in an instant.
16) What about the threshold?It is attached to the frame.
17) Are doors insulated?Yes, with foam injection. All doors are insulated.
18) Can we choose color of the door?Yes, for special orders only.
19) What are the colors of your iron doors?Dark Bronze ( traditional designs), and Black ( modern designs).
20) How do you clean the glass?The glass opens independently of the door for cleaning and ventilation.
All our In-Stock items are ready for shipment within 24-48 hours after the payment is received.
2) How long do shipments take?Out of state deliveries take 7-10 days. For Los Angeles area, we deliver same day or whenever you want it delivered. Warehouse pick-up is also available.
3) How are your doors delivered?The shipping company will always call you ahead of time to schedule a delivery. The driver only delivers on your curbside lift-gate delivery. The customer will need at least 2 people to help with unloading.
SHIPPING POLICY
We at DOOR GATE DEPOT do our best to ensure our customers a flawless transaction every step of the way, from the time you order to the time you received your door. Make sure you finalized the delivery address so that there will be no delays in the delivery of your door. DOOR GATE DEPOT makes sure all of our iron doors are protected and free from damage. Before signing the shipping company’s bill of lading, please check whether the crate has been damaged during shipping process. Do not accept the Iron Door from the shipping company until you have thoroughly checked the product packaging for any damages. The damage that is caused by shipment needs to be immediately reported and notated on the bill of lading. Note any damages to the packaging if possible take pictures to support claims as the shipping company cannot stay during the actual unpacking process. We request our shipping company that all of our doors are delivered with LIFT GATE ON THE CURBSIDE ONLY. Please remember that these are very heavy doors that need two or more people to move it. It is the customer’s responsibility to bring the door to a place to store your iron doors.
